Jayden Daniels ruled out for Commanders' London game against Colts
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has been ruled out for the team’s Week 4 game against the Indianapolis Colts in London. Daniels is recovering from a dislocated left elbow, an injury he has suffered twice in the last year. While he traveled to London and participated in limited individual drills wearing a protective brace, head coach Dan Quinn confirmed he will not start. Daniels has opted against immediate surgery to continue playing this season, though he may undergo the procedure once the campaign concludes.
Veteran Marcus Mariota will start in place of Daniels. Mariota enters the matchup following a three-touchdown performance in the Commanders’ recent 33-31 upset victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
The Commanders' roster faces additional injury concerns heading into the London matchup. Wide receiver Terry McLaurin is listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury, and running back Rachaad White has been ruled out with a shoulder injury. On the positive side, linebacker Frankie Luvu and tight end Chig Okonkwo are expected to play after missing recent games.
