Jayden Daniels prepares for Commanders season after heavy training camp workload
Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn has expressed high confidence in quarterback Jayden Daniels following a heavy training camp workload. Despite limited preseason action, Daniels completed over 500 practice snaps, which Quinn described as nearly half a season’s worth of repetitions. This volume was intended to help Daniels master a new offensive system under coordinator David Blough and build timing with receivers Stefon Diggs and Terry McLaurin, as well as tight end Chig Okonkwo.
While Quinn praised Daniels’ decisiveness, ball placement, and ability to play outside the pocket, some analysts remain cautious regarding the team's overall roster construction. While the Commanders added players such as Rachaad White and Stefon Diggs, concerns persist regarding the offensive line following the loss of left tackle Laremy Tunsil and the depth of the wide receiver group.
