Jaydon Blue returns to limited practice for Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys running back Jaydon Blue returned to practice as a limited participant following a shoulder injury sustained during a preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer noted that the 2025 fifth-round pick is improving after being held out of practice previously.
Blue’s injury comes amid a competitive battle for depth roles in the Cowboys' backfield. While Blue showed significant upside with 15 carries for 75 yards in a preseason win against the Arizona Cardinals, Malik Davis is currently viewed as the primary candidate for the RB2 position. Davis recently recorded five carries for 29 yards and a touchdown in that same contest.
Other injury updates from the Cowboys include Phil Mafah dealing with a chest injury, Israel Abanikanda managing a rib injury, and safety Zion Childress working back from a hamstring injury. Cornerback Devin Moore also returned to practice after recovering from a groin injury.
