Jaylen Brown expresses disappointment following Celtics trade

Following his trade from the Boston Celtics to the Philadelphia 76ers, Jaylen Brown has expressed disappointment regarding the circumstances of his departure. Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 2024 Finals MVP noted, “I was a little disappointed in how it all went down,” though he added that the outcome of the move remains to be seen.

Former NBA player Charlie Villanueva has suggested that the tension between Brown and Jayson Tatum may be deeper than previously thought. Villanueva claimed that Tatum failed to publicly defend Brown against media criticism, stating, “They don’t get along.” According to Villanueva, Tatum could have ended media speculation by publicly affirming his support for his former teammate, but chose not to intervene.

In Philadelphia, Brown joins a roster featuring Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. The trade saw the Celtics acquire Paul George to fill the void left by Brown's departure.
