Jaylen Waddle suffers chest injury during Broncos victory

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jaylen Waddle sustained a chest and shoulder injury during a Week 7 game against the Arizona Cardinals. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter during a gadget play while the Broncos held a 30-16 lead.

Waddle was seen wincing and moving his left hand gingerly as he was assisted to the medical tent and eventually to the locker room. While the exact severity of the injury remains unconfirmed, reports indicate he was grabbing his left chest and shoulder area after landing hard on the ground.

Head coach Sean Payton described the decision to run the trick play late in the game as an ‘awful play call.’ The Broncos victory improves their season record to 5-2, keeping them in contention for the playoffs in the AFC West.
