Jaylin Galloway leads Cairns Taipans to victory in NBL debut

Jaylin Galloway made a successful NBL27 debut for the Cairns Taipans, scoring 18 points and providing six assists in an 86-84 victory over the New Zealand Breakers. After missing the first eight games of the season due to shoulder surgery, the 23-year-old played 26 minutes and 32 seconds to help the Taipans reach a 5-4 record.

Cairns head coach Adam Forde addressed rumors regarding a potential minutes restriction for Galloway, stating that no such plan was communicated to him. Forde praised Galloway’s “quiet intensity” and his ability to perform under pressure, noting his awareness and leadership qualities during the high-stakes game.
