Jayson Tatum reports full health following Achilles recovery
Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has announced he is fully healthy as the team begins training camp, following a recovery from Achilles tendon surgery performed in May 2025. Tatum noted that the offseason allowed him to focus on strength and explosiveness, stating, “I feel much better than I did this time last year.”
With Jaylen Brown absent, Tatum has embraced a primary leadership role within the Celtics. Additionally, Donte DiVincenzo credited Tatum for providing significant support during his own Achilles injury rehabilitation. DiVincenzo noted that speaking with Tatum was “very, very helpful” in navigating the mental and physical challenges of the recovery process.
Other Atlantic Division updates include Mitchell Robinson expressing readiness to play without minutes restrictions for his new team and working on his free-throw shooting. Meanwhile, Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard declined to comment on a $700,000 fine related to a league investigation into salary-cap violations by his former team, the Clippers.
