Jayson Tatum to lead Boston Celtics in 2026-27 NBA season

Looking ahead to the 2026-27 NBA season, Jayson Tatum faces a significant shift in his role with the Boston Celtics. Following the July trade of Jaylen Brown, the Celtics organization has moved toward a roster built primarily around Tatum’s talents.

This strategic decision follows the conclusion of the two-star system that secured the team's 18th championship banner. The move signals a transition for the 28-year-old franchise star, as the team seeks to maximize his individual impact without the previous dual-star structure.
