Jazan City for Basic and Downstream Industries is implementing artificial intelligence and smart engineering solutions to enhance project management and execution monitoring. This digital transformation aligns with the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu’s strategy to develop advanced industrial cities.

The city utilizes Building Information Modeling (BIM) to integrate various engineering disciplines into a single 3D model, allowing for the early detection and resolution of potential component conflicts. These digital tools improve engineering data analysis and support decision-making, which helps reduce late-stage modifications and lowers time, effort, and costs.

During the construction phase, the city employs the ‘OpenSpace’ platform, using 360-degree cameras to provide a visual record of site progress. This system links field imagery to actual locations and compares them against BIM models to ensure work adheres to approved designs. The integration of AI in data analysis further accelerates information access and improves engineering oversight.
