Jazan region sees advancements in infrastructure, healthcare, and volunteerism
The Jazan region in Saudi Arabia is seeing significant advancements in social, infrastructural, and medical sectors. The Al-Rowad Volunteer Work Association recently conducted a specialized training workshop for over 100 volunteers, focusing on leadership and organized community service as part of the 'Volunteer Environments 2026' project.
In terms of infrastructure, the Jazan Municipality reported substantial improvements between 2022 and 2026. Road coverage increased by 450%, with the rehabilitation of 812 kilometers of asphalt and 214 kilometers of sidewalks. These developments contributed to an 80% decrease in municipal service complaints and a rise in beneficiary satisfaction from 35% to 93%.
Additionally, the Al-Ihsan Medical Charity Association has expanded healthcare access through targeted initiatives. The 'Visiting Consultant' project provided specialized services to 45,726 people in 2025, while the 'Rahma for Kidney Dialysis' project assisted 11,164 beneficiaries by the end of the same year, reducing the burden on patients in remote areas.
