Jazz and classical music programs highlight European performances

Various European radio stations and cultural programs are highlighting jazz and classical music performances for late September 2026.

In Austria, the Ö1 station featured a performance by Chicago saxophonist Isaiah Collier at the Jazzhochburg Kärnten festival. The program, titled ‘Collier Plays Coltrane’, served as a tribute to the legendary saxophonist John Coltrane.

In Germany, jazz programming includes a matinee featuring diverse album showcases from artists such as Gebhard Ullmann and Carla Marciano. Additionally, a concert titled ‘Abdullah Ibrahim and friends: a musical tribute’ is scheduled for September 30 at the Freiburg Theater, featuring the Will Bartlett Trio.
