Jazz and soul musicians headline festivals in Zagreb and Bar

The inaugural Zagreb Soul Fest will feature American singer-songwriter Bilal as its headliner. Performing at Boogaloo in Zagreb on December 15, Bilal brings his blend of neo-soul, R&B, and jazz to the festival. Known for his work with the Soulquarians collective and collaborations with artists such as Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé, Bilal will perform in a year marking the 25th anniversary of his album ‘1st Born Second’.

In another musical event, the Vasil Hadžimanov Band performed at the 39th Barski ljetopis festival. The band presented a repertoire spanning three decades, blending Balkan rhythms with jazz and funk. The performance included tracks from their new album ‘Keyf’ and traditional Macedonian music, following the group's recent tours in Europe, the United States, and Japan.
