Jazz em Monserrate festival to include biodiversity workshops

The Jazz em Monserrate festival is scheduled to take place from September 11 to 13, 2026, at the Monserrate Park and Palace in Sintra. Under the artistic direction of Inês Laginha, this edition features the theme “Outros Tempos” (Other Times), exploring jazz as a medium for improvisation and dialogue.

A new component for the 2026 edition includes workshops focused on nature and biodiversity, inspired by the conservation efforts of Parques de Sintra. Scheduled activities include a workshop on pollinators led by apiarist Telmo Cabral, a session on fruit tree grafting with producer Mauro Pereira, and a mushroom production workshop guided by environmental activist Sílvia Floresta.
