Jazz festivals announced for Cortona and Forlì

Two Italian jazz festivals are set to take place this autumn. The ninth edition of Cortona Jazz will run from October 21 to 24, featuring international performers such as Fay Victor, Joel Ross, Adam Nussbaum, and James Brandon Lewis. The event, organized by the Associazione Culturale Mammut with support from the Municipality of Cortona and the Tuscany Region, aims to blend tradition with innovation across various historical locations, including the Fortezza del Girifalco.

In Forlì, the eighth edition of ‘JazzaForlì-Musica per libere menti’ will take place from October 31 to November 14. Organized by the ‘dai de Jazz’ Association, the festival includes concerts, exhibitions, and educational moments. Highlights include a photography exhibition titled ‘Around Miles & Trane’ and performances by Doctor 3 with Avishai Cohen, as well as the ‘Largo ai giovani!’ contest for emerging artists.
