Jazz festivals debut in Brandenburg and Heilbronn, Germany

The CITY JAZZ BRB festival launches in Brandenburg an der Havel on 28 August 2026. Hosted at the Paulikloster complex, the event features two stages, a workshop programme and performances by Nouvelle Vague, Jazzanova with Wayne Snow and Clara Hill, the Aaron Ottignon Aroma Trio, Bossa Pacifico, Flo Naegeli and Mieke Miami. The festival is organized by the city, Radio 3 rbb and local cultural partners and aims to link Brandenburg’s historic jazz tradition with contemporary international acts.

In Heilbronn, Jazzpoint Records celebrates its 50‑year anniversary with a concert evening on 17 September 2026 at the Waldhaus. The programme includes the Ondřej Štveráček quartet, a duo of Philip Catherine and Nicola Andrioli, the Django’s Tiger trio led by founder Jan Jankeje, and a late‑night jazz session that brings together the participating musicians. The label, founded by Jan Jankeje and his late wife Gerti, originated in Stuttgart and now operates from Weinsberg.

Both festivals showcase a broad range of European jazz talent and underline Germany’s vibrant live‑music scene for 2026.
