Jazz industry conferences announced for Hamburg and Bremen
The Deutsche Jazzunion has announced the program for the 29th Jazz Now! conference, scheduled for October 1–2, 2026, in Hamburg. The event will take place at the JazzHall Hamburg and the HfMT, offering a platform for musicians, students, organizers, and cultural policymakers to network. Key features include panels on cultural policy, workshops on mental health, and discussions regarding the future of jazz and improvised music.
Separately, the jazzahead! trade fair has announced its plans for 2027 in Bremen. The 2027 edition will focus on the Baltic region—featuring talent from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania—and the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, Australia, South Korea, Indonesia, and Thailand. The fair aims to strengthen international networking and provide a springboard for emerging jazz musicians through showcase concerts.
