Jazz initiatives highlight emerging talent in France and Italy

Several jazz initiatives are highlighting emerging musical talent across Europe. In Juan-les-Pins, the ninth edition of Jammin’Juan is scheduled for October 29 and 30, 2026, at the Palais des Congrès Antipolis. This professional market serves as a platform for the promotion of emerging jazz, featuring twelve showcases designed to facilitate networking between artists and industry professionals, including festival programmers, agents, and media.

In Ravenna, the “Le forme del jazz a venire” series, promoted by Jazz Network ETS with support from the Ministry of Culture and SIAE, is presenting free concerts dedicated to national emerging talent. Held at the Cisim di Lido Adriano, the event features trios led by musicians under the age of 35. The performances explore various styles, ranging from Afro-American traditions and funk to Cape Verdean melodies and contemporary improvisation.
