Jazz performances scheduled for Formentera and Eivissa Jazz

The Balearic Islands are hosting several jazz and musical performances. In Formentera, the Consell Insular de Formentera has organized a special jazz night at the Pilar de la Mola plaza for September 1. The event features La Mola Jazz Cats followed by Carlos Sarduy & The Groove Messengers. Sarduy, a multi-instrumentalist and composer residing in Formentera, will perform a repertoire blending original compositions with Afro-Cuban, flamenco, funk, soul, and jazz influences, accompanied by guest singer Marinah.

Additionally, bassist and singer Tonina Saputo is set to perform at the Eivissa Jazz festival. Saputo, a Berklee College instructor, will present a set with an all-female trio, incorporating styles such as bolero, soul, and funk.
