Jazz performances scheduled in Italy

The 'Eventi in Jazz' festival continues in the Varese province, featuring London-born singer and saxophonist Ray Gelato at the Teatro Sociale in Busto Arsizio on October 17. Gelato will perform a swing repertoire influenced by artists such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, accompanied by the band Vik & The Doctors of Jive, tap dancer Tommaso Maria Parazzoli, and the vocal trio Ladies in Tune.

In Biella, the Biella Jazz Club will host 'Caro Franco' on October 13. This tribute concert honors the late Italian jazz guitarist Franco Cerri, who passed away in 2021. The performance will feature the band led by guitarist Alex Usai, including musicians Alessandro Usai, Alberto Gurrisi, Roberto Paglieri, and Sonia Schiavone. The ensemble consists of musicians who previously collaborated closely with Cerri during the final years of his career.
