Jazz Pharmaceuticals and Purple Biotech announce major oncology developments

Jazz Pharmaceuticals reported that the Phase 3 HERIZON‑GEA‑01 trial of Ziihera® (zanidatamab‑hrii) in combination with chemotherapy, with or without the PD‑1 inhibitor Tevimbra® (tislelizumab), showed significant improvements in progression‑free survival (median 12.4 vs 8.1 months) and overall survival (median 26.4 vs 19.2 months) for patients with HER2‑positive locally advanced or metastatic gastro‑esophageal adenocarcinoma. The results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine and include expanded safety and subgroup analyses confirming consistent benefits across patient groups.

Purple Biotech Ltd. released its second‑quarter 2026 financial results, noting a cash position of about $6.1 million that should fund operations through mid‑2027.
