Jazz festivals announced for Asunción and Bogotá

Asunción will host the CCPA Jazz Night on September 10 at the Teatro de las Américas as part of the Cranea Música 2026 program. This musical market event, running from September 9 to 12, features conferences, workshops, and artist showcases. The jazz night includes performances by the CCPA Jazz Quintet, Rodrigo Quintás, the Sixto Corbalán Trío, and American pianist Sam Farley.

In Colombia, the 29th edition of the Jazz al Parque festival is scheduled for September 12 and 13 at Parque El Country in Bogotá. The festival's curatorial focus explores the dialogue between jazz and Latin American musical traditions, highlighting influences from countries such as Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Chile. The program includes the Ricardo Gallo Cuarteto and various cultural and gastronomic activities.
