Jazz Tevaga avoids ban ahead of Super League Grand Final
Wakefield Trinity forward Jazz Tevaga has avoided a suspension for the upcoming Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford. Despite being charged with a Grade B Trip during Wakefield’s 33-6 victory over the Wigan Warriors, the three penalty points received will not prevent him from participating in the championship match.
Ahead of the final, Warrington Wolves head coach Sam Burgess addressed Tevaga’s recent comments regarding the strength of the Wakefield pack. Tevaga had previously claimed that his side possessed the best forward unit in the league. Burgess noted that while such comments add ‘fuel to the fire,’ both teams remain confident in their respective packs as they prepare for the high-stakes fixture, which is expected to draw over 70,000 spectators.
