JazzFestBrno and Jazz Juniors to host Central European Jazz Showcase

JazzFestBrno and Jazz Juniors are collaborating to host a two-day Central European Jazz Showcase in Brno. This event is part of the international programme for the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The showcase will feature eight bands in total—four from the Czech Republic and four from Poland—selected by an international jury. These musicians will perform for the general public and a group of invited delegates from major European jazz festivals, media outlets, clubs, and agencies. From these participants, the jury will select one winning band from each country.

The initiative aims to promote jazz export, foster artistic collaboration, and strengthen professional ties between the Czech and Polish jazz communities. The application deadline for participating bands is April 4, 2025, with the eight selected groups to be announced on April 30, 2025.
