JB Pritzker reports 80-pound weight loss using GLP-1 medication

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker announced he has lost 80 pounds after using GLP-1 medication following a diabetes diagnosis two years ago. Describing the treatment as ‘life-changing’, Pritzker noted that the medication helped eliminate food cravings and assisted in his long-term struggle with obesity.

Pritzker, who also maintains a daily walking routine, stated that he hopes his experience can encourage others to seek medical advice for similar issues. He also mentioned that the Illinois state employee insurance plan covers GLP-1 medications, noting that such coverage can lead to long-term savings.
