Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has seen his net worth increase by more than $1 billion since taking office in 2019. According to estimates from Forbes, Pritzker’s current fortune is approximately $4.2 billion, following a growth of roughly $500 million over the past year alone.

An heir to the Hyatt hotel empire, Pritzker is included in the Forbes 2026 World’s Billionaires list. Despite the significant increase in his personal wealth, his global ranking fell from 979th to 1,108th.

Pritzker remains one of many wealthy individuals in Illinois; however, he is not the state’s richest resident. That position is held by Lukas Walton, a part-owner of Walmart, who has an estimated net worth of $44.4 billion.
