JBL and Aiwa compete in high-power portable speaker market

The portable high-power speaker market is seeing significant competition between major brands. The JBL Boombox 4, released in August 2025, features up to 210W RMS when plugged in and 200W on battery power. It includes a redesigned body weighing approximately 5.89 kg, IP68 water and dust protection, and Bluetooth 5.4 support.

As a more affordable alternative, the Aiwa Boombox Plus offers 200W RMS through a three-way audio system consisting of a 100W subwoofer, two 30W midranges, and two 20W tweeters. While the JBL model often exceeds R$ 2,300, the Aiwa model is available for approximately R$ 1,287.08 on Mercado Livre. The Aiwa brand is also associated with Brazilian football star Neymar Jr., who serves as a brand ambassador.
