JBL announces Cove multi-room Wi-Fi speaker series

JBL has announced the Cove series, a new multi-room Wi-Fi wireless speaker system designed for seamless home audio integration. The lineup consists of three distinct models: the compact Cove M1, the portable Cove P1, and the flagship Cove X1.

The Cove P1 and X1 models support Dolby Atmos for immersive 3D sound. The P1 is a portable option featuring an IP56 dust and water resistance rating and a battery providing up to 14 hours of playback. The X1 serves as the premium model, equipped with four tweeters and two woofers.

The system utilizes technology such as ‘Constant Sound Field’, ‘AI Sound Boost’, and automatic tuning to optimize audio based on the environment. Users can group speakers via a dedicated app or use the ‘Moment’ button to transfer music between rooms without a smartphone. Additionally, the series is designed to integrate with JBL Bar MK2 series soundbars, with the M1 and P1 models functioning as rear speakers.
