JBL defends Adam Pearce over criticism of not watching outside wrestling

WWE Hall of Famer JBL has defended WWE General Manager Adam Pearce following online criticism regarding Pearce’s admission that he does not regularly watch wrestling promotions outside of WWE.

Speaking on ‘Something To Wrestle’, JBL argued that the sheer volume of content produced by WWE, totaling approximately 100 hours of television per week, makes it difficult to keep up with other promotions like AEW or TNA. JBL noted that he experienced similar constraints during the Monday Night Wars, stating that he did not watch WCW while working for WWE due to the heavy travel schedule and time commitments.

JBL added that while he keeps up with AAA for his commentary work and follows WWE through social media clips, there are simply not enough hours in the day to follow every promotion. He contrasted most professionals with Jamie Noble, whom he described as a ‘wrestling bug’ who dedicated his free time to watching videos, a trait he believes contributes to Noble’s success as a producer.
