JBL defends Road Dogg against fan criticism in WWE interview

In a recent interview on Something To Wrestle, former WWE executive JBL responded to fans who criticised former talent Road Dogg’s creative work on SmackDown after his departure earlier this year. He said the critics “don’t know what they’re talking about” and dismissed their comments as “bullshit”.

JBL highlighted WWE’s global arena‑selling success, noting that Road Dogg was part of that growth, and explained the difficulty of producing live television 52 weeks a year. He referenced Vince McMahon’s purchase of the company for $1 million and sale for $9.3 billion, and compared WWE’s schedule to the less demanding AAA product, which he described as “the hottest show in the world right now”.
