JBL launches AI-powered Live 780NC and 680NC headphones in Australia

JBL introduced its latest Live Series headphones in Australia, offering the over‑ear Live 780NC and the on‑ear Live 680NC. Both models feature True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 driven by AI algorithms, Hi‑Res Audio support via LDAC, up to 80 hours of battery life, 40 mm dynamic drivers, JBL Spatial Sound 3.0 and Personi‑Fi 3.0 sound tuning. The 780NC includes six microphones for ANC, while the 680NC uses four, and each supports the JBL Headphones app for custom touch controls. New colour options such as green, purple and orange complement traditional black, white and beige, and the designs are slimmer with foldable metal hinges.

Pricing is set at AU$249.95 for the Live 780NC and AU$199.95 for the Live 680NC, with sales beginning 13 May through JB Hi‑Fi and JBL’s online store, expanding to broader retail on 1 July. The launch also introduced the JBL Live 4 earbuds (Buds, Beam and Flex) featuring Bluetooth LE Audio, Auracast, a smart charging case with a touch display, and the same Hi‑Res audio capabilities across the product line.

HARMAN Asia Pacific General Manager Grace Koh highlighted the integration of AI‑trained noise cancellation and high‑resolution sound to serve urban commuters and remote workers in the region.
