JBL Pulse 6 portable speaker features AI Sound Boost and 360-degree lighting

Harman International Industries has announced the JBL Pulse 6, the sixth generation of its portable Bluetooth speaker series that integrates light shows with audio performance. The device features a 360-degree light show powered by 216 LEDs, which now extends to an integrated carrying handle for enhanced portability and visual depth.

Technically, the speaker utilizes a two-way system consisting of a 64mm woofer (30W RMS) and a 16mm tweeter (10W RMS), totaling 40W RMS output. It introduces ‘AI Sound Boost’ technology, which analyzes audio in real-time to optimize sound performance and minimize distortion. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 6.0 with support for SBC, AAC, and LC3 codecs, as well as Auracast for multi-speaker pairing. For high-fidelity playback, the device supports lossless audio via a USB-C connection.

The JBL Pulse 6 offers 16 different lighting themes controllable via the JBL One app, including a new ‘sunset mode’ and a bedside lamp function. It is designed for durability with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, capable of withstanding submersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes. The battery provides up to 12 hours of continuous playback on a single charge.
