JCB Contactless expands transit payments to LA Metro

JCB International Co., Ltd. and JCB USA have announced that JCB Contactless is now accepted on the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) transit system.

Cardholders can use tap-to-pay functionality via compatible credit cards or smartphones at TAP validators located across LA Metro’s bus and rail networks. This integration aims to improve accessibility and convenience for residents and international visitors, particularly travelers from Asia who frequently visit Los Angeles. The implementation covers all bus routes and subway/light rail stations within the LA Metro network.
