JD Vance condemns selling access to the White House

Vice President JD Vance stated during a town hall in Michigan that anyone “selling access to the White House” should “suffer consequences,” describing such actions as “disgusting and despicable.”

Vance’s comments followed reports regarding the removal of U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle amid allegations that she requested a $100,000 payment from an individual seeking assistance from the Trump administration. Guilfoyle has denied any wrongdoing, and Donald Trump has denied any conflicts of interest.

Vance noted he intends to make judgments based on facts rather than media reports and stated he would comply with congressional subpoenas, asserting, “we follow the law.”
