JD Vance launches pledge to protect Americans from fraud

Vice President JD Vance has launched the ‘Pledge to Protect Americans from Fraud,’ a six-point initiative calling on public officeholders to combat fraudulent exploitation of taxpayer funds. The pledge aims to protect vulnerable populations, such as the elderly and disabled, ensure tax dollars are not diverted to illegal aliens or fraudsters, and prevent welfare from being used for luxury purchases.

Several high-ranking Republican officials have already signed the pledge. In Nebraska, Governor Jim Pillen joined the initiative alongside Attorney General Mike Hilgers, Attorney Lesley A. Woods, and Representative Adrian Smith. On Capitol Hill, members of the Republican Study Committee (RSC), including Chairman August Pfluger, have also signed.

The White House and the RSC have emphasized that the movement seeks to hold fraudsters accountable through imprisonment or deportation and to restore public trust in how government agencies manage taxpayer resources.
