JD Vance targets Medicare fraud and Democratic inaction
Vice President JD Vance, leading the White House Fraud Task Force, criticized congressional Democrats during the Make America Healthy Again Summit for failing to address healthcare fraud while criticizing costs. Speaking alongside Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C., Vance stated that the task force has identified nearly $250 billion in fraud since his leadership began.
Vance highlighted issues regarding program eligibility, specifically noting that many programs lack strict criteria. He argued that it is “basic” and “common sense” that Medicare benefits should be restricted to American citizens, expressing concern that insufficient eligibility checks allow billions of dollars to be distributed to individuals, including those in the country illegally.
