JD Vance tells Florida Senate candidate Angie Nixon she ‘doesn’t belong in America’

During a campaign rally at Lakeland Linder International Airport in Florida, Vice President JD Vance criticized Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Angie Nixon. Addressing a crowd in Polk County, Vance targeted Nixon’s affiliation with the Democratic Socialists of America, stating, “When Angie Nixon calls herself a socialist, I think the right response is to say, ‘Then get the hell out of here. You don’t belong in America.’”

Vance noted that Florida is “MAGA country,” citing a registration advantage of 1.5 million Republicans over Democrats. He also campaigned for Byron Donalds and Ashley Moody.

Nixon issued a written response to the remarks, asserting her connection to the state. She stated, “This is my home,” and accused Vance and Moody of prioritizing “billionaire buddies” over the people they represent.
