JD.com opens first 24-hour unmanned robot cafe in Beijing

JD.com has launched its first 24-hour unmanned robot cafe, Seven Fresh Coffee, in Beijing’s Galaxy SOHO district. The facility utilizes AI models and robotics technology to automate the entire coffee-making process, from grinding beans and extracting espresso to flavoring and filling cups.

During its opening demonstration, the automated barista robot achieved a Guinness World Record for the most cups of coffee produced in one hour, serving 20 cups. Under normal operations, the system can complete a single order in less than 30 seconds. Customers can customize their drinks via the JD app or in-store kiosks and monitor the preparation process on digital screens.
