JDEnergy presents string PCS architecture for Spain’s energy storage market
JDEnergy, in collaboration with Spanish partner WDenergia, hosted a webinar focused on the Spanish energy storage market and the role of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology in the country’s energy transition.
The session highlighted the advantages of string Power Conversion System (PCS) architecture over traditional centralized designs. This architecture allows for independent control at the battery-cluster level, which eliminates DC-side parallel connections. By allowing each cluster to charge and discharge based on its own operating conditions, the system can maximize usable energy, improve fault isolation, and increase operational flexibility.
JDEnergy also introduced the eBlock-418A, a modular energy storage solution designed for grid-side and large-scale commercial and industrial applications. The system features grid-forming capabilities to regulate voltage and frequency. The eBlock-418A has previously been deployed in markets including Germany, Italy, Japan, and Hungary.
