Jealsa reports record revenue and 150% profit surge

Corporación Empresarial Jesús Alonso (Jealsa), a major Spanish fish canning manufacturer, reported record-breaking financial results for the 2025 fiscal year. The company achieved a consolidated turnover of approximately 825.7 million euros, representing a growth of roughly 6% compared to the previous year.

Net profit saw a massive surge, increasing by approximately 150% to reach 26.4 million euros. This significant jump in profitability was driven not only by increased sales but also by a substantial improvement in financial results, reducing previous financial burdens.

Jealsa, which owns brands such as Rianxeira and Escurís, maintains a high level of dependency on its relationship with the supermarket chain Mercadona. Approximately 55% of the company's total turnover, amounting to 454 million euros, is derived from Mercadona, which uses Jealsa to manufacture its Hacendado brand canned tuna and bonito. While the company identifies this concentration as a credit risk, it notes that the client's solvency mitigates the impact. The company's business is primarily focused in Europe, with Spain, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Portugal, and the Netherlands being key markets.
