Jean Bouveri Hospital governance concerns raised in Saint-Vallier
The Codef (Collectif de défense des usagers des hôpitaux) has raised concerns regarding the governance and naming of the Jean Bouveri Hospital in Saint-Vallier. The organization reports that it has been alerting various authorities for several weeks, or potentially months, regarding these issues.
Authorities contacted include the Director General of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Regional Health Agency, the Prefect of Saône-et-Loire, several local mayors, and regional deputies and senators. Codef expressed concern over a lack of response from most of these officials, noting that the hospital serves approximately 105,000 residents across 62 communes.
Deputy Josiane Corneloup has indicated she will bring the matter to the attention of the Minister of Health. The dispute involves the legality of the governance of this public health establishment.
