Jean-Claude Van Damme visits Serbia for fitness and film festival

Belgian action star Jean-Claude Van Damme has been visiting Serbia, participating in both fitness activities and film industry discussions.

In Belgrade, Van Damme visited the Achilles gym, where he trained with owner Aleksandar Đorđević. During the session, Đorđević presented the actor with a commemorative shirt featuring the gym's logo.

While attending the Niš International Film Festival, Van Damme shared insights into his acting process. He revealed that he follows advice from Robert De Niro regarding character preparation, noting that he spends approximately six weeks mentally constructing a character's biography, roots, and thought processes to create a distinct personality. He discussed his ability to transform from his public persona into various roles, such as his character Lea in the film ‘The Gardener’ and a submarine captain in ‘Raid Pacific’.
