Jean Fernandes reportedly agrees to join Necaxa in 2027
Brazilian goalkeeper Jean Fernandes has reportedly reached an agreement to join the Mexican club Necaxa starting in January 2027. The 31-year-old currently plays for América de Cali in Colombia, where his contract is set to expire on December 31, 2026.
Because his current contract ends at the close of the year, Fernandes is expected to join the Liga MX side as a free agent. Reports suggest the deal includes a contract for three seasons with an option for an additional year.
The move follows a period of strong performance for Fernandes at América de Cali during 2026. While there had been previous speculation regarding a potential return to the Paraguayan club Cerro Porteño, where he played previously, the agreement with Necaxa appears to have finalized his professional future.
