Jean-Luc Mélenchon faces antisemitism accusations amid French left-wing debates

Former Socialist deputy Julien Dray has issued a severe critique, accusing LFI of being the “first antisemitic movement in France.” Dray argues that the party's issues with antisemitism, authoritarianism, and economic policy are not merely individual lapses but central to its political strategy. He expressed concern that this trajectory could lead to a presidential duel between Mélenchon and Marine Le Pen.
