Jean Pütz, the former moderator of the WDR program ‘Hobbythek’, recently celebrated his 90th birthday in Mettmann. The celebration was notable for the presence of his youngest daughter, Julie, who is 15 years old, highlighting a 75-year age difference between them.
Despite the age gap, Pütz remains active in his daughter's life, supporting her equestrian pursuits. Julie, a district champion in Essen, competes at a high level, and the family frequently travels to tournaments together. Julie describes her father as a curious and unique individual who shares engaging life stories.
Even with age-related vision issues and a previous hip fracture, Pütz maintains an active lifestyle, using a recumbent tricycle for local trips and traveling to visit family in Strasbourg and Apulia.
