Jean Ziegler recounts driving Che Guevara in Geneva

Sociologist Jean Ziegler recounted a personal anecdote from his youth in April 1964. While serving as a young communist student and activist in Geneva, Ziegler acted as a driver for the Cuban delegation during an international conference on sugar.

During this twelve-day period, Ziegler served as a chauffeur for Che Guevara, driving him through Geneva and engaging in lengthy discussions regarding politics, revolution, Europe, and socialism.
