Jeana Keough's Cancer Treatment Halted by Blood Clot and Infection

Jeana Keough, 70, former star of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," is battling squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. After surgery and multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy, her treatment was paused when doctors discovered a deep‑vein thrombosis in her leg and a concurrent infection.

The complications forced the postponement of a planned gastrostomy (G‑tube) procedure needed for nutrition, as the infection must be resolved before the tube can be placed. Keough's daughter, Kara Bosworth, shared the update on Instagram on July 21, noting that her mother has been unable to eat for two weeks and is "extremely depleted." Despite the setbacks, Keough has said she feels fine and is eager to continue treatment.

A GoFundMe campaign has been running to help cover medical costs, and fellow RHOC alum Vicki Gunvalson has expressed public support for Keough.
