Jeana Keough's Ongoing Tongue Cancer Treatment and Prognosis
Reality‑TV alum Jeana Keough is undergoing intensive treatment for tongue cancer, including daily radiation, weekly chemotherapy, immunotherapy, extensive blood work and intravenous hydration. She has a feeding tube in place and expects to keep it for two to six months. Keough estimates her cure rate at 40‑60 % over the next five years and says the chance of complete remission is under 70 %.
She recently launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover mounting medical expenses. Keough disclosed that the cancer was first noticed as a painful tongue sore, initially attributed to a tooth by her dentist, which delayed a biopsy she could not afford at the time. After multiple dental visits, she was finally referred to an ENT specialist. She is currently unable to speak and relies on family support during treatment.
