Jeanine Pirro accused of misconduct in Reflecting Pool case
Attorney Michael Bromwich, representing former Olympian Davey Hearn, has requested investigations from the Department of Justice and Department of the Interior Inspectors General regarding the handling of charges against Hearn. Hearn had been charged with damaging the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, though the charges were ultimately dropped.
Bromwich’s legal team alleges that D.C. Attorney General Jeanine Pirro and her office engaged in serious misconduct. The allegations include an inappropriate press conference and providing false information in a motion to dismiss. Furthermore, the defense claims that while Hearn’s expert was inspecting the pool, Pirro and a group of armed government agents surrounded the expert to pressure him into providing an assessment, despite being advised that he could not speak to her.
The case follows claims by President Donald Trump that the pool's condition resulted from vandalism rather than contractor error, leading to allegations that Hearn was unfairly targeted to support the administration's narrative.
