Jeanja Keough, 70, battles tongue cancer
Reality‑TV personality Jeana Keough, age 70 and known from *The Real Housewives of Orange County*, has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. Her daughter Kara Bosworth disclosed that a biopsy “confirmed our worst fear: squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue.”
Keough underwent an initial surgery to remove the tumor, followed by a second operation to excise lymph nodes, during which doctors discovered the cancer had spread. She is now in her fifth week of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy, which her family describes as “relentless,” leaving her exhausted, malnourished and struggling to swallow.
Because Keough cannot work, her family launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover medical costs; the fundraiser has raised over $20,000 toward a $22,000 goal. Fans and fellow reality‑TV alumni have posted prayers and support on social media.
