Jeanneau launches Sun Odyssey 415 sailing yacht
Jeanneau has introduced the Sun Odyssey 415, marking the ninth generation of its production series. The new model utilizes the existing 410 hull design to maintain affordability while implementing several structural and functional upgrades.
Key design changes include a wider stern, larger hull windows, and an increased beam at the transom by one foot. Designed by Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group, the vessel features an inverted bow, a hard chine, and twin rudders. The layout emphasizes a social interior with a U-shaped settee and a cockpit designed for alfresco dining.
A Performance version of the 415 is also available, specifically tailored for club-racing. This variant includes a taller Z-Spar aluminum mast, a deeper 7-foot, 4-inch keel, and a specialized sail package from SeamTech. Other technical enhancements for the performance model include a Harken electric halyard winch and a split hydraulic Dyneema backstay.
